Our project partner Hayball are hosting a forum exploring the future of education design at the at the Hayball-designed and newly opened Richmond High School as part of Melbourne Design Week. This forum will feature Lindfield Learning Village (NSW) Principal, Stephanie McConnell and Richmond High School’s Principal Colin Simpson who will discuss the architectural response to contemporary educational settings, how to create nurturing learning environments while embracing emerging pedagogies such as ‘stage not age’ and ‘learning communities’, as well the evolution of vertical schools. This session will be moderated by Hayball Director Richard Leonard.

At a time when there is so much discussion of how schools can prepare children for an uncertain future, many are questioning the fundamental organisation of school. Public discussion of the new shape of schools is an important part of this.
