The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS) was established in the 1880s and today has three venues in Sydney that hold an internationally significant collection of over 500 000 objects. Since its establishment education has been a central goal of the museum, through engagement with the public, as well as school focused programs and working with key education policy bodies and peak groups. In the next 5 years the museum aims to increase engagement broadly with the public through education as well as connections with schools and teachers through involvement in research projects such as this one.
