Talking Spaces – conference highlights

On 22 and 23 February, our wider research group, LEaRN held the eighth Talking Spaces conference. The event was a huge success, attracting over 150 local and international designers, educators and policy makers passionate about learning spaces. The conference program provided insights into professional practice in learning space design and education, government policies and emerging research. This year the event format included 2 site tours of RMIT Academic Street and Albert Park College, with the second day held in the Albert Park College Environmental Arts Hub.

Many of our project team and partners contributed to the program, providing their professional expertise as well as insights from the ILETC project.  Wes Imms and Marian Mahat presented an overview of our international symposia and think tank meetings in 2017 and approaches to research and practice in development and use of learning spaces internationally.
